Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a key functional additive in water-based coatings that optimizes construction performance (such as splash resistance and flow resistance) through efficient thickening and rheological control, as well as improves storage stability and prevents pigment settling; Its high water retention delays the drying process, avoids the cracking of the paint film, promotes the uniform dispersion of the pigment, and enhances the color consistency of the coating. HEC is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, compatible with low VOC formula, and widely used in building latex paint, industrial paint and special paint. It is necessary to pay attention to cold water pre-dispersion and appropriate addition (0.1%-1.5%) when using, to ensure the balance between viscosity and drying speed, to achieve long-term anti-mold and excellent film forming effect
